Tink Training: Week 1

The training plan for week 1 looked like this:

M: 3 mi
T: bike/strength
W: 4 mi tempo
R: off
F: rest
Sa: 8 mi
Su: strength

I already shared that I missed the very first run of the training plan.  Not the way I wanted to start.  The head cold wouldn’t give up. I neglected to stretch and roll to the point that my IT bothered me on Saturday.  In the end, this is how it turned out:

M: 2 mi walk
T: 3 mi
W: rest/sick
R: rest/sick
F: strength
Sa: 3.5 mi
Su: rest

Week 2’s plan:
Monday: 4 mi
Tuesday: bike/strength
Wednesday: 2×1600 with 1 mile wu/cd
R: 3 mi
F: rest
Sa: 7 mi – we’re registered for a St. Patty’s day 5K with lots of beer at the end, so this will likely be cut back
Su: strength
